HTC added a proximity sensor, a feature that was missing on the Sprint HTC Hero, so now the screen will turn off when you're on a phone call to prevent any accidental misdials from a brush of your cheek the Droid Eris's 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen is hard to ignore. With a 320x480-pixel resolution, the display is amazingly sharp and vibrant. Text is easy to read and the colors of images are vibrant and rich.
Although there are new phones ot ther there, this particular phone has been well taken care of which means it's not all scratced up and still retains it's newness, It's always had a screen protector so no scratches or dings on the phone screen anywhere, Normal wear on the body but again you wont find any deep scratches or dings back of phone is still smooth.
Come with wall charger, Protective case, USB computer connector cord. Google APPs, Wifi, nice camera feature uality photo and video, does stream movies and video very well and many more features. It also has an 8Gig SD card. The phone will come restored to factory specs. And will be packaged and shipped in protective bubble wrap in small priorty box. Please don't ask for free ship, as the shipping is only $5.50 If your can't afford that then you really don't want this quality phone. I bought this new a couple years back and had no issues with anything the battery will last 8hrs before having to charge it again, This is the original battery that came with the phone, so it's worth the battery upgrade if you choose to switch to a higher capacity battery for longer life. It's just Verizon right now it will be restored to factory specs so it will be like a new phone which you cam program whatever apps you want, You can always have it jailbroke thru cricket if you need to use it with another carrier, I haven't tried that with this phone cause I have been with verison for 6 years now. FYI: I paid $39.00 a month for unlimited talking and texting & long distance by going to talkingandtexting.com They can easily activate new service for you on this verizon phone. If you need more badwidth it's $49.00 I stopped using contract phones years ago, They get you with the fees and limit your min. Try it and see! it's a great program thru verizon and you dont have to worry about going over your minutes, It's unlimited.

I stream TV.com on this phone and the video quality is outstanding!! plus you can uplod hundreds of songs on it and use it as a MP3 player, It has a lot of apps I haven't even used, Again if the bid goes over 25000 credits I through in a high end bluetooth headset with it, With noise cancellation and clear volume!

Again just to be clear friends, This phone has a 8gig SD card so it can hold a lot of photos videos and data!! It's all touch screen and has a great camera that takes really good pictures and video.

Are all htc phones 3g? i really want this phone... and i heard that if you jailbreak a phone from another carrier you can't get messaging, receive pics, or use the web.. and, you could just use it for talk.. i know sax.. =( really nice phone f&w

The newer HTC phones are 3g the problem is if you can get it in your area with certain providers, jailbreaking a phone to get into another service doesn't mean you can only send and recieve calls. Certain software on some phones prevent you from accessing some features on some phones but you should be able to talk and text without any problems. As far as web access that needs to be in your data package which in some cases with certain providers is an extra charge. I just bought a samsung galaxy which I really like but it is with AT&T, Instead of jailbreaking it to Verizon I simply got a moth to month plan for $50 a month which is only $10 dollars more than I pay and forwarded the number to my new phone. I really needed one specifically for my business and one for personal use, But thats a personal choice for many people. Hope that helps.

I'm a video Producer and a Mentor Facilitator for the prisoner re-entry program at Mercy Corp. Phones these days are a personal choice based upon the features they offer and what they are being used for, Some people buy expensive phones because they have lots of goodies and gadgets, but never even use half of the functions that the phone provides. While others replace their home phone and just use a cell because it's more suitable for them since they are on the go most of the time and has better access to, information, web,communication with friends and family, personal and business dealings, I'm on the go most of the time and don't get home till late so I prefer a mobile office (Cell) that has all the functions I need for business or personal all in one place. Samsung I found makes an excellent product and has what I need for my busy schedule, I need the coverage, mobility and ease of access a lot of phones provide that. I said all this to say that, You want to look for the features, Coverage, and ease of access that fit into your lifestyle. Samsung Galaxy Is just a faster, more bells and whistles and looks cool kind of phone and has a few more features, but I wouldn't count out the HTC's Besides in a couple of month's they all will be coming out with much smaller, sleeker,more functionality and more bells and whistles electronics because of peoples love for the latest and greatest and need for the best of the best.
