This Stuff is Free Too:
Description

The listing, Lenovo S10 Netbook/Laptop with Windows 7, WiFi, Webcam, GPS has ended.

This netbook is in great condition. I used it for about 3 months for taking notes, but didn't like it. I would rather carry my tablet around for taking notes, despite the weight penalty. (Being a nerd, I don't have much muscle mass! lol)

The screen is beautiful and is in flawless condition. The screen is very bright and I enjoyed using this outdoors for a change.

Anyway, the specs are:
1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor
1GB DDR2 RAM
160GB Hard drive
LED lit display (for extra power savings!)
3G AT&T WWAN/GPS card
802.11b/g wireless card
1.3MP webcam

Has Windows 7 and MS Word installed. I'll delete my user profile and any other files I have before shipping it.

You need a SIM card with a data plan on AT&T in order to use the 3G internet feature. If you don't have one, you can just disable WWAN, but that also disables the GPS. :(

Free shipping to the continental US only. I won't ship this internationally.

Please check out my other listings for more game-related stuff!

SORRY-- the webcam, is it in like 'real time' or 'delayed' if that makes any sense. And can you hook your own up to it if you wanted to?
Jul 20th, 2010 at 3:38:09 PM PDT by
Original
Real-time, yes you could use your own, as long as it's USB.

Ooh, yeah, I tried that. It was fun. I have an install CD for iAtkos, if you want it.

I think this will accept bluetooth? You just have to do the hack. It's very simple just take out the battery and remove the four screws on the bottom towrad the front and turn it back over and take off the track deck. Then there should be a slot to install blue tooth module to the right of the track head. (You don't have to take the track head off). Nice netbook!

I bought it in Fall 2009, but it's possible that it was manufactured before that. This is the very first revision of S10 without bluetooth.

Can you tell me what the 3G internet feature is? I'm sorry, I'm not that computer literate. Also, which spec. represents the speed and if needed, is it expensive to upgrade it? One more thing, is 160 the storage capacity of the hard drive? I just auctioned off a laptop recently, not knowing much about it, now mine is acting up!
Jul 20th, 2010 at 3:37:12 PM PDT by
Original
3G/WWAN is cellular data.

A RAM and hard drive upgrade are the only useful upgrades. The upgrades are relatively cheap, albeit unnecessary.

160GB is the capacity of the hard drive.

I've heard that some netbooks are bad at playing streaming media, how does this do with netflix, hulu, or youtube?
Jul 18th, 2010 at 10:14:46 AM PDT by
Original
With hardware acceleration in Flash 10.1, it seems better overall, but still stutters on high-motion high-definition content. Youtube at SD or 480 will run fine.
