hey harmony....
about shipping heres a few tips:
first: weigh it the best you can-i have a shipping scale, but if you dont put it on a regular scale...this way you know if its 1 pound, less etc
that will help you figure out shipping fees to people's zip codes..

then go to usps website they have a "calculate shipping" option to find out how much it will cost
also:
measure the size of it ( how tall..and wide it is) so you know the size box you will need..beforehand..this also may help with the shipping quote.
i find that "priority flat rate " to be the best best- ( if its small enough to fit in a small flat rate box that is, if its too big..then that gets expensive)flat rate boxes are FREE at your post office, or at usps website-you can order them and your postman will deliver them usually in a few days!
i order them all the time! theyre FREE! =)
parcel post is sometimes more expensive believe it or not..than priority! and they dont take the best care of the packages..since this is fragile..you will want to use plenty of bubble wrap all around the bowl..and newspaper (i place newspaper inside items like this for extra protection from breakage) also..you may want to insure it for only $ 1.30 it's well worth it..! trusts me.
you may want to ask winner if they'd like to pay that low fee for insurance..
i'm sure anyone who collects vintage ceramics wouldn't mind at all
you could also calculate it into the shipping fee
i'm not too sure the size of the bowl..so if you measure it..i can help you more on the best way to ship it :)

I bet shipping on this will be no more then $3 to $4.00 at the most and hubby wraps really good and if dont cost more will reimburse you but, I would rather have gift card for Amazon cause need a hose desperately

it looks a bit too big for priority flat rate...try looking up the rates so you can compare priority to parcel post..at usps website...priority is sometimes the same if not cheaper than parcel..and handled much more safely ;)
