Also check out the 1920 Standing Liberty, the value on it might be a little higher. The mintage was much higher at 27 million, but the coin has a good price in the book. And...though the date is more worn and you might think the coin is more worn, that is because they rectified the date wear issue by recessing it in 1925 and on. The coin collectors have sent me a lot of messages about these two coins and the Franklin half for some reason. Pick you up a "Red Book" if your really interested in coins, and be careful of the coin bug! It will bite you and you will end up with a room full of them! Good luck!
It's rare on listia for sure, the overall mintage from the San Francisco mint was only 1,764,00, so it is not a common coin in general. The 2007 book values it at $35.00. I don't have any of the recent books and the price of silver was $12.00 then....It's $32.10 spot price today.....So the coin should be worth even more today. This is a good buy for any collection.
i am just starting to collect coins.i dont even know how to grade them and i have a 1919 wheat penny i would like to grade and a 1953 D wheat penny i would like to grade so i know what i have. just no money to send them to get graded
Probably "fine" or a little better. You can find most of that on the Internet probably nowadays. As far as book value....it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
Thanks, but GIN costs too much to use and no one wants to pay the premium after the 10% cut Listia gets. Good luck though. I do like the flying Eagles you are giving away.
