I purchased these on clearance at a craft store (Flower & Craft Warehouse) a year or two ago (I think?); but I see online Big Lots had it years ago! Wish I only pay $1 a skein...ah well, live, learn, buy more yarn. ;)

I think this would be great to felt with another wool yarn (knit together), to make some crazy textures where the non-wool doesn't shrink... and on Ravelry there are always suggested patterns for specific yarns, which have been quite helpful for dealing with the oddball yarns i've had.

Great idea! I've only tried felting with one project (with Wool-Ease) and it came so pilly it still sits in my Unfinished Objects box...a purple platypus!
