Zimbabwe had a period of hyperinflation in which their government printed too much money. This bill was originally worth $300 USD, but most of the money they printed dropped in actual value very quickly after it was released. For instance, Zimbabwe's $100 billion banknote bought exactly 3 eggs on the day of its release. Zimbabwe's currency is no longer in use as of April 2009, but this is a definite collector's item. Besides, who wouldn't want to be an instant Trillionaire?

This currency is suspended and can not be transfered for CAD or USD. This is a useless bill...

Roman coins aren't in circulation & can't be transferred for usd or cad anymore either, but that doesn't mean people don't collect them. It's not meant to be used as currency, it's meant to be a collector's item. I wrote right in the auction that the currency is no longer in use as of April 2009.
