Description
The listing, VICK'S PLANT SUCCULENT-Plectranthus tomentosa - 4 CUTTINGS has ended.
Winner gets at least 4 vibrant cuttings from my VICKS PLANT. This plant has a wonderful scent of Vick's plant and require little care. I will not take the cuttings until the end of the auction so I can get them to you as fresh as possible. This is a very hearty species and tolerant to cold temps. If the temps at your end or my end are extreme it might be necessary to hold the plant until it is more climate. If this is a problem please do not bid. Be sure to ask questions before bidding. All Listia rules apply. I cannot be responsible for plants once they are out of my hands. HAPPY GROUNDHOGS DAY!
Questions & Comments
I just bought one of these at my crystal store! Love it, and that plant looks prolific! Will be bidding for more of this awesome plant!
Googled this for info: richters.com--Vicks plant (Plectranthus purpuratus) is a hardy house plant. It will be happy in pots, hanging baskets, or summer containers outdoors. It is closely related to swedish ivy, and more distantly related to coleus. As the name suggests, it has a strong odour similar to that of "Vick’s Vapor Rub", a common over-the-counter liniment that is rubbed on to the chest to help ease congestion and break chest colds. In fact, the vicks plant can be used for the same purpose. The leaves can be steeped in boiling water to vaporize the characteristic oils which are then inhaled, helping to clear nasal and respiratory passages. The leaves can also be applied as a poultice, or prepared in petroleum jelly-based ointments. Vasoline petroleum jelly works well. Hmmmm,,,,,a little confused! Groundhog Day? Are we jumping the gun a little??? Otherwise great auction!!!!
Oops!!!! sorry PC!!! Several varieties of this plant. Yours is Plectranthus tomentosa and this one,,,,same family,,,,,is Plectranthus purpuratus!!!! Both are great!
I do a couple of things to help the plant arrive in good condition. I very carefully wrap the plants. I invite you to check my other feedback. Everything will arrive healthy and ready to go! I hope this helped!
