I don't know. I contacted the merchandiser and they told me that they tested before pack and sent it out, and there is rare customer complaint with it. I tried everything and tested in several computers and this is the only way that function.

I need to add one detail about this web cam: In order to hear the other person, you WILL NEED a headset.

As I explained before, you WILL NEED a headset. The other person can see and hear you just fine and you can see the other person but can't hear it unless you use a headset or decide to use text messages. That is the only way that I did it to work, using a headset plugged to the microphone jack in my computer.

I am not trying to lie or scam anybody. I copied the exact description that I put here from the merchandiser that I bought the camera. Also, I copied this: "Our webcam pixel mean picture pixel, it is not camera pixel. Webcam pixel is the product of multiplication between the width of capture and the length of capture. Pixel has dynamic pixel and static pixel. The Static pixel is used to capture pictures, and the dynamic pixel is to capture video. The video pixel of webcam is more important if it is used for video, and the picture pixel is more important if it is used to capture pictures. Our webcam mean picture pixel. There are many parameters can impact the effect of the webcam, IC, layer of glass, lens, etc."
The 3.8mm is not megapixel (mp). What 3.8mm means is about the focus of the webcam. You are totally confused!
This webcam is in PERFECT working condition.

I will appreciate that you do comments with the facts. How do you know from sure that 20MP is impossible? Like I said before, I copied the exact description of this webcam from the merchandiser that I bought the camera and I don't think that he will take any risks to sell something with that it is not really what he stated in the item description. Also, check this: http://www.lightinthebox.com/Powerful-20-0-Mega-Pixel---6-LED---USB2-0-Webcam-for-Laptop-PC---No-Driver--ES-2209---SMQ004-_p28056.html

Please, check the DESCRIPTION AND THE SPECIFICATIONS of that webcam in the link above. Mine is the same except that doesn't have cd driver because now in 2010 don't need the cd driver! Again, I am not trying to lie or scam anybody.

People, if you want this webcam to take pictures, I better recommend you to get a digital camera instead that will do the same work and better because you don't have to be in front the computer all the time. But if you just want the webcam for video calls this what the real purpose of the webcams!!! Thanks.

@ boricua1: I stand corrected - after doing some research, it is true that it is a 20MP camera - though not 20MP as we are used to. 20 "static" MP.

I've never seen these units before... quite interesting.

I wish that you read good and do some research BEFORE do any comments/false accusations for something that you will get for FREE after all! I don't understand what is the big issue about the mega pixels here. As I said before if you want to take pictures, then get a digital camera and if you don't believe or trust about something listed here, then don't BID but let the others that really want it to bid and participate.
