i have a couple of coins i found at the park just like 2 or 3 and i figured i could put them here maybe someone wants them

This isn't actually a 1789 coin, it is a token struck on a blank cent that came from an actual proof set and proof sets didn't actually start until 1936. The year 1789 refers to the date that the Department of the Treasury was established.

It's a copper Department of the Treasury proof set token from a 1982-S proof set. 1982 was the only year it was made.
