Description

The listing, Triple Crown Thornless Blackberry Seeds - 10 seeds has ended.

You are bidding on 10 Triple Crown Thornless Blackberry Seeds.

These seeds were on plants that have been growing in my moms yard for over 5 years and 1 plant has naturally multiplied to over 10 plants (and if the mower was not mowing around plants they would have multiplied to even more than 10 plants im sure), Also the original plant 5 years ago was 1 foot tall if that, now the tallest plant is 7-8 foot tall and produces tons of large blackberries late July and August here in upstate NY. These blackberries are huge, not at all your supermarket variety, they get about 1.5 inches long at the largest I seen. It is a very good productive blackberry bush and I'm sure the seeds will be just as good, they spread naturally very easily so im sure if you take the time and care to plant these seeds you will have great success. These seeds have naturally dried out on the plant and then I picked them, (see the picture of the seeds on the paper plate).

The pictures were all taken on 8-9-2012, they are actual pictures of the seeds and the Blackberries the seeds will produce. They are great tasting, just make sure you pick them when black not red, or they will be sour and hard when red. But when you pick them when black I guarantee they are some of the best if not the best you ever tasted.

Fan me and I fan you back. And if you use the "Get It Now" I will send 25 seeds instead of 10 seeds. Good luck everyone I will keep auctioning these seeds until I run out.

I received a question on how to grow these and here is a link with all the info for anyone that is unfamiliar on how to grow Blackberries from seeds http://www.ehow.com/how_4479064_grow-blackberries.html

You must stratify the seeds first, which basically means you plant them outside around October if your area has a colder climate in the winter, and the seeds will naturally sprout in the spring (kind of like planting a bulb in the fall, and it comes up in spring). If you dont have a colder climate in the winter months (or you just want to start them indoors) you must place the seeds in the fridge in a baggie with moistened peat moss for at least 4 weeks which will start the germination process and seeds will be ready to plant late winter or early spring. You probably wont get any Blackberries until the second year when starting blackberry plants from seeds, but after a few years these plants will get huge and naturally spread all around the area you planted the original plants. They spread like weeds eventually.

Here are 2 more pages on how to grow blackberries, some of the info differs, but that is because there is not really just one way to do it and some people have different ways of growing blackberries, but as long as you stratify the seeds first you should be good to go, that is the main thing you need to do to get these to grow.
