Two new 8 1/2" X 11" paperbacks:
1.) Winning Ways to Make Quilts, by Connie Hester (quiltmaker, designer, and instructor) who introduced Speed Grids to the marketplace in 1989. While templates for all 28 patterns are included in the book, Speed Grids will produce the most accurate triangle-blocks of any method and will do so in a fraction of the time of traditional methods.
2.) Stars and Flowers, three sided patchwork, by Sara Nephew. Use rotary cutting and speed piecing to produce beautiful quilts with a floral applique look, or six pointed "feathered star" designs.
