Description
The listing, Carnival glass bowl has ended.
I don't know if this is old. I bought it at a moving sale. Carnival glass bowl. No chips or cracks and really pretty. The light dances off this piece in all colors but the main color of the glass is a light amber. Measures 7" across at largest span and is 2' deep.
Questions & Comments
F&W& bid, thanks for allowing us to see and bid on the great piece.
Any markings, even a small one...like a N? Carnival glass is still being made today, but collectors seem to only want the old ones, and certain colors. For some reason this color is more common, a marigold variation, but it is still lovely. If you did find a mark, that would change its value a lot.
I will look with my jewelry loop. I did not see any marks just passing over it with no magnifyers. Since I bought this at a moving sale I don;t know its age. No personal history or story to put with the piece.
Some of the older makers did go through periods of time where they did not mark their work. I have the encyclopedia of Carnival Glass and I looked for it, it is similar in style of one I found, that in Marigold is $10, but it is not exactly that one, so I wondered if it was the same manufacturer. It is soo pretty, and thanks for listing it. :)
