It is made out of cotton Not sure how big it is but I use mine for storing small items. It would be a good coin bag too. It has a string closure but had to cut the string on so many of these because it was hard to get the tamales out. It actually had 12 tamales that were delicious. Totally recommend Texas Tamale company. My sister in law orders them and sends them out as Christmas gifts. I found a local small grocery store that sells them.
