Description

The listing, Angel Of Peace - Pattern Booklet has ended.

This is a pattern from the Cross Stitch Masterpiece collection. It is very large (the booklet folds out to a small poster). The design is by Barbara Baatz and was copyrighted in 1997.
All my auctions are mailed out the Friday following the end of the auction, providing I have the winner's address and any shipping fees I have asked for by then.
I make every effort to work with people who may be experiencing some problem but I need to know if there is a problem. If I do not have any response from the winner within seven days, I will relist the item and keep the credits. I do not like to do this but have no choice if the winner doesn't get in contact with me.
All of my items come from a smoke free home with live in pets.
Thanks for looking at this item and happy bidding!

Yep, sorry, it's just a pattern - no floss or cross stitch material.

When you say the pattern is very large, what do you mean? How big is the finished piece?

The pattern itself measures 16" X 18" but the finished piece depends on the material you use and the count. The pattern is 189 stitches by 213 stitches. The model on the front of the pattern was stitched over 2 threads on a 20" X 22" piece of 28 count Meran and they put it into a 15 1/2" X 17" frame. Most of the patterns I have used would include the different finished sizes for a variety of fabric counts. This one, however, does not. Sorry I can't be more precise.

What you have provided is very helpful. I wondered, as I am relatively new to cross stitch, if they stitch over two threads of 28 count, could you then stitch over one thread of 14 count? I'm not sure however this would effect the size of the piece of fabric. Would it stay the same? Lot of questions, thank you for your patience.

Yes, that's how it works ( 14 count vs. over two threads on the 28 count) unless you want it bigger, than you can stitch over two counts of the 14 count. I have never tried it that way nor heard of anyone else doing it but it would work in theory. Most of the patterns I had, had a chart showing the exact size in inches of each thread count. It really helped when determining what cloth to use.
No problem on the questions. If I can answer them I am glad to help.
I have a ton of cross stitch stuff stored away that I thought I would pass to a niece or granddaughter one day but no one seems to want to learn how to do it. Some know how but don't care to do it.

Thanks. Too bad no one wants to learn. I have recently discovered it and I love it. It's really a marvelous hobby.

I did it at least 20 to 25 years and then moved on to scrapbooking. I did THAT for about 15 years. Now, I am trying my hand at making and selling jewelry.
