Yes. maybe I should have mentioned that. Sayiing they are "stones" COULD be misleading! lol Peruvian opals come in pink (with markings of tan, white and brown) and a pretty blue. They are easily the most unusual gemstones I have ever seen! (and they are genuine)
No, you were fine saying beads usually means they have holes in them. I think what threw me off was you suggested putting them on a ring. That made me think maybe they were just stones. I don't know what I would do with them but I do like them a lot.
If you do wire wrapping, you can put the wire thru the bead, and continue wrapping a base onto the ring. There are lots of patterns for wire wrapping rings on the jewelry supply websites. :-)
