Resham Patti is a broad and short chilli with quite thick, dark maroon skin. This pepper is medium hot. It is very well known as a hottening agent. You can add this extra spicy chilli powder to masalas, pickles, and chutneys with traditional Indian seasonings. This can also be used to substitute for Thai Chilli Pepper.

Resham Patti peppers fall around 40,000 SHU - scoville heat units.

A really hot jalepeño will range 2,500 - 8,000 SHU.
