This listing is for an awesome Semi-Key Date 1915-S Lincoln Wheat Cent. It was marked XF40 This Lincoln cent is absolutely beautiful. It will make a nice hole filler!
This coin came from a collection which had been stored in 3-ring binders since the early 1960’s. Early binder pages contained PVC which left a bluish film on the stored coins surface. And coins often adhered to the plastic pages. Unable to afford proper cleaning, the collection was sold to a local coin shop. He in turn separated and cleaned many off the coins. The more valuable coins were sent to a professional coin restorer service.
I traded my labor (Roofer by trade) and purchased 100’s and 100’s of coins from this shop for over 27 years.
