One of Upper Deck's most popular early inserts were the "Baseball Heroes" inserts. For each major series issue, Upper Deck would do a 9 card insert set for a particular player, beginning with Reggie Jackson in 1990 (#1-9), Nolan Ryan in 1991 Series 1 (#10-18), and Hank Aaron in the 1991 High # issues (#19-27).
