My jeweler assured me that it was 14k. she said nothing about gold filled. If the bidder wants the credits back, they will be refunded with no problem. I am sorry for any confusion but I just went by the test on the cross for gold and what my jeweler stated to me.
Gold filled is NOT worthless. It's much better than plated. But not as good as solid. When you see 14K than GF, that means gold filled. Find a new jeweler or tell the other to get new glasses, lol Good Luck!
If a professiobal jeweler said this was gold they were either high or from another country. Its gold filled 110%. By federal law realgold is marked since when you sell gold it is smelted and sent off to other needs .its very prretty none the less just not genuine. Not trying to down your auction but g.f. Stands for gold filledz.
I understand that fully! I was going to remove the auction but it wouldn't allow me to as someone already bid on it. I have however contacted the highest bidder and have told them i will be returning their credits.
What is the big deal here? It's a piece of jewelry, for goodness sake, not a car or house!! It's beautiful, it depicts our Lord on His most giving day towards us. If you MUST have pure gold, go find a gold dealer! Leave this person alone and either bid or SHUT UP!! Me? I love it, and I'll probably bid. But this has been blown all out of proportion. Come on people, this is LISTIA and they are GIVING IT AWAY!!! Don't go through a bucket of ashes looking for a diamond; all you'll find is coal. (Which IS a diamond, actually, just lots younger!!)
