FREE: Series 641 25 Cent Military Payment Certificate

The listing, Series 641 25 Cent Military Payment Certificate has ended.

This is a genuine US Military Payment Certificate issued between August, 1965 and October, 1968, during the peak years of the Vietnam War.

The obverse is in Very Good/Fine condition; it shows only light wear and soiling, indicating little circulation. Edges and corners are intact and sharp. Coloring is still bright!

The reverse, on the other hand, shows soiling that is a somewhat heavier than normal (sorry, but I don't have a picture of it at listing time). It's on one half only, indicating that the note was carried folded. It's likely the soldier who carried it kept it in his wallet as a souvenir, and the note was soiled as he added and removed other notes.

A great item for the Vietnam War serviceman! If they have a display case of their medals and badges, this would add a nice bit of history to that display!
