Description

The listing, 10 Pumpkin Spice Incense Cones for Alzheimer's Disease! has ended.

This is a big month for Alzheimer's! This year I will be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease with the Alzheimer's Association. I am trying to bring about awareness in any way I can.
Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death and I am walking this walk for my family & your family, anyone who has been or will be affected by this monstrous disease.

Please support my cause by bidding on these cones, you will receive 10 Pumpkin Spice incense cones, shipped free of charge!

My purpose behind the incense is to symbolize one of the beautiful amentities we are afforded in life, our senses; sight, smell, taste, hear & touch.

Alzheimer's Disease slowly depletes our loved ones of all of these things.

There are walks all across America coming up to End Alzheimer's Disease.

My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and so my inspiration for this battle against this deadly disease starts for him.

Together, we CAN make a difference and bring this tormenting disease to a stop!

Thank you so much for your support!

My prayers are with you for this awesome cause!! My husband had his maternal g'ma & g'pa suffer from Alzheimer's for many years until their bodies finally gave out. It is so very hard to watch them deteriorate mentally and be strong physically. I have bid on some cones to help your cause. I will try and keep watch and buy more & more with time.

I did my thesis on this, as my then grandfather in law suffered from it, and found what is the worst thing about it, as hard as it is on them, in their times of lucidity when they realize how things have gone wrong.. mostly, its hard on those of us, who must watch.

You're so right estaw. I've seen the worst of Alzheimer's only through videos, my father is not there yet, in that late stage, and other than a memory disease, I really didn't know a whole lot about AD until my dad was diagnosed and I went into overdrive with everything. It takes our loved ones away, right before our eyes, tormenting us with the shell it leaves behind. We want to believe that they are in there somewhere, but at some point, it has robbed them completely of all of their memories, and that is nothing short of torture for all involved. :*(

one merry note, my grand da in law would forget who I was. I would see him taking his walk and wave at him and he would boast later of the "good looking red head" who flirted with him... after I while, I stopped telling him, it was me and just let him enjoy that :)
