The listing, Vintage West London Brass and Glass Nautical Sundial Tilt Top Pocket Compass has ended.

This was purchased at a thrift or goodwill store. It has a beautiful patina on it and needs cleaning which I wont do cause I don't want to ruin anything as I'm Not a brass cleaning and don't want to ruin the value of the piece. The measurements are 3 1/4 from front to back and side to side, 1 7/8 tall when closed, and 3 1/2 when pointer is opened and 4 when lid is opened.

It's Solid Brass and Glass and works too. It has WEST LONDON on the front top no other markings that I can find. This is a GREAT piece for only a small shipping fee. If you can find one for less, by all means get it.

Lissa, I am sure that this will get a lot of bids because it's a rater unsusual piece. I certainly could not afford the GIN, but I will keep on bidding as far as I can afford. It's a lovely piece, my grand-son would surely enjoy it. Thanks. Paola

Does this Sextant have the box that it would have been carried in? With the patina it has it is most likely 18th century.
