The listing, 100% Cotton Fabric,Plain and Prints has ended.
Small P.O. Flat Rate mailer box stuffed with fabric from my stash. No piece larger than 1.999 yards, most pieces 1/4 yard+. Photos from some of the fabrics I have been folding to put away. There are lots and lots more I have yet to pull out of packing bins.
Questions & Comments
I just packed over 2.5 yards of fabric and a couple of surprises in a small flat rate box to send to my sister... I didn't even stuff the box. This box will be STUFFED! Fabric is all quilt store cotton and MAY include batiks, hand dyed and other specialty items. I am preparing boxes for other auctions and they will all be similar but not identical.
Thank you margienjoe. I am hoping this goes and I can fill and offer the other 9 boxes I got from the P.O. to put up for auction. You have some interesting items on your list.
Some are. Others are larger. I'm going to add a new photo in a little bit as I have been folding and folding and adding to the stack. I've emptied 5 bins since this auction went up. These pieces are only the little ones folded 8 x 9" to fit on my quilt room shelves, not the yardage. In these stacks are Hoffmans, Kaufmans, P&B Texttiles, Alexander Henry, batiks, english and african fabrics.
Have a full laundry basket and one overflowing bin in the quilt room, plus the last loosely packed bin in the cabinet that still need to be folded...it's an orchard of fabric and this is the first bite of the apple.
I am from the old school, still buy by the yardage and cut my own pieces. Would you please tell me what a fat quarter is? I have seen them and read about them but was never interested in buying because I don't know them. I am watching, learning and fanned you. Fan back please?
A fat quarter is a quilter's cut. They now even carry them in the chain stores, pre-cut, not request cut. A quarter yard is 9" by the width of the fabric. A fat quarter is 18" x approx. 20-22". Few fabrics are 45" wide any more. Basically take half a yard and cut it in half across the middle fold. Works very well for applique and wrapping or backgrounding stuff.
Thanks! I am shocked. EVERYONE, PLEASE NOTE DESCRIPTION ABOVE: "Small P.O. Flat Rate mailer box ". I can get a bunch of fabric in this box, but it is little, about 5.5 x 8.8 x 1.5".
