Description

The listing, You Get Almost 100 Angel Trumpet Seeds Per Pod has ended.

Hello Ladies Heres your chance to win 1 seed pod containing Angel Trumpet seeds.
Everyone offers just a few, I am offering 1 full pod.
The pod is packed full of seeds, almost 100 to be exact.
Each flower produces one seed pod.
Look at my photo's, this plant came from one seed. Yes I said one seed.
Photo's show just how beautiful these flowers are.
Photo's also show the multiple blooms one can have on one evening.
I had 64 yes 64 flowers open in one night.
The internet claims these plants to be poisonous, but no one ever messed with them.
They bloom non-stop spring to fall.
The pods have kinda cactus to porcupine like outer shell, once fully mature the pods will burst open and seeds will fall to ground ready to start germination for the up coming years crop.
These are Angel Trumpets they are also another species of the moon flower family.
The flower will open 7 - 8:30pm and close to die off the next morning from 9:30 - 11am.
Meaning they are only open for a bit over 12hrs.
It is time to get these seeds and throw them on the ground where you want them to grow next season.
So bid knowing you will see nothing but pure raw beauty all year long.
I will post a photo in a couple days with the lighting to show open at night.

Ok I see what ya are saying and fully understand. I have been mislead on this plant as this is what I was told they were. This is the proper name for this flowering plant Datura "Moon" Flower and was used for medicinal purposes (see these websites for more information: http://b-and-t-world-seeds.com/Datura.htm or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datura ), where the Brugmansia Angel Trumpets is a poisonous plant (see these websites for more information: http://www.angelfire.com/planet/brugmaniac/ or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brugmansia ). I thank you for pointing this out to me on the difference of these plants. I will go and correct all my listings as I do not like to mislead anyone on anything I give away. TYSVM again.

Yes I had over 65 pods, an still have them coming, as the flowers are still blooming. I sold like 20 of the pods I had during a yard sale. I still have more then I need so I listed them here, at more seeds then what others give away.

I purchased some strobe light for Halloween a couple years back. They were not being used. I wanted to show off my flowers at night so folks could see the pure raw beauty of the flowers when dark, so I pulled out the lights set them up and it worked. I love it so much that next year I will have more plants and other colored lights. TY for the ask.

If I can't win them(I don't have many credits yet) is there any way of purchasing some?! Oh... I live in northern Minnesota zone 3-4, do you think I can grow them here? (I HOPE so!!!) Thanx! =•)

Yes they will grow in Minn. My sons live there and I sent extra seeds to them that I had purchased online earlier in the spring time. Please make note that these that ya are looking at are not what the title says they are. I did not know that there were 2 diff types for these flowers and was only say what I was told by another person in which I obtained these from. These are in fact Datura (meaning Devil Trumpets) Trumpets, just another species of the moon flower family. The real genuine Angel Trumpets grow from a tree like plant and open facing downward, where the Devil trumpets open facing upward. Again I only listed what I was told until another member pointed out the big diff between the two flowers. Please see my other items for the real deal.

They ARE NOT in the same family - - moonflowers, or night-blooming morning glories are in the Convolvulaceae family whereas Datura (devil's trumpets) and Brugmansias (angel's trumpets) are members of the Solanaceae family - - which is why all parts of these plants are toxic . . . it is the same family as the Nightshades, too.

Keep the kiddies and stupid teens looking for a high away, and always wash your hands like crazy after handling the plants or the seeds -- all will be fine.

I love 'em -- the variety within the genus Datura is awesome.

Two or three seeds from any datura are toxic enough to kill an adult.

The attraction to them for doper teens is their halucinogenic attribute - - It is said that shamans and old-world "witches" used datura seeds to get visions. In the U.S., dozens of teens die every year from ODing with datura seeds or powdered datura seeds.

Datura inoxia, or 'Sacred Datura' was first discovered in Jamestown, VA, when the English first came to America. It was first called 'Jamestown Weed' and over time this became mushed into 'Jimson Weed'
