I couldnt find a gift box to fit, you mean like a shoe box type and so I could only find a regular box that was perfect for it size wise but not like a gift box, just a regular box that I will be gift wrapping upon shipping

It is a video of whatever you record, she is the video camera, the camera is located right on her chest like a necklace and the screen is on her back and then you hook her up to your computer and do all sorts of things with the video using the downloadable barbie software found on their website www.barbie.com/videogirl. I hope this helps. This doll provides endless amounts of fun for your little girls imagination. She can shoot her very own movie.

How old is the barbie and does it have any wear etc. and does it take video great or hard to make out?

I've had the Barbie for almost a year and no it Does NOT have any wear at all, it looks just like it came out of the box. It has never been played with, only cut on once, the video is as good as expected for a child's toy. You can make out the picture, but definitely not adult quality.
