Painted on the front of this 2011 Kennedy half dollar is British war planes heading into Germany on a bombing raid. Also the dates of the aerial campaign July 10 - October 31, 1940. It comes with a little card which reads: " The Battle Of Britain. A battle between British abd German forces, this was the first major campaign to be fought entirely in the air.
