Agave attenuata is much sought-after by gardeners and landscapers. It is unusual in that it is spineless, soft, and prefers a shady area to grow. Also called "foxtail agave", it grows a curvy trunk to three feet tall. Attenuata only blooms once, every 20 years or so, but the blooms are HUGE and spectacular, shooting up 8 feet with thousands of flowers. (see pics) Winner will receive a "pup", about 5 inches tall. Easy to root and grow.
