i use a glue stick. ;) and sometimes i use them with in combination with fresh ones, but i make sure the sides are helping the uncanceled stamp in place - if that makes any sense! i told my friend that i do this, and he offered to just buy me some new stamps. i'm not going to just throw money away in the trash, though.. no way. and stamps are really valuable to me because i send so much mail out on my dime.

if you peel them off VERYYYY slowly, you can put them back on another envelope. =) The older ones (before 2001) have to be soaked.

It's against the law - a federal crime - to re-use stamps that have already been used, even if they haven't been marked with a cancellation. Of course, that's not to say you wouldn't get away with it!

i've gotten 2 uncanceled one dollar stamps, 11 forty-four cent ones, and 1 ten cent stamp just from packages from Listia alone! pays to look them over. makes me wonder if they took the time to make sure they all got canceled - would they have to be raising the postage again in January?
