The listing, 22 inch marked sterling silver very heavy chain has ended.

A really nice chain for any man. It is approximately 22 inches long. Has a lobster claw clasp that is stamped .925, however this is not solid silver. It does attract to a magnet (the clasp) so it must only be silver plated. Still its a very nice chain and would be a very nice Christmas gift.

Nice..but as I read your post and looked at the picture..maybe you should take it and have it tested..because it could very well be that just the clasp isn't silver..clasps are very easily replaced...but it does appear to have a mark on the end of the chain itself? What does that say? Fanned and watching!

The mark is 925 but as I said a magnet attracts to the clasp. That is the only mark I can find on it.

also alot of the clasps can have a tiny stainless steel spring inside it that will cause magnitism. is there any tiny stamp on the gate of the clasp?
