how many and what size battery's does the keyboard and mouse use, more important since you have 2 and sounds like you use all the time, how is the battery life on these, I have had some that would go through battery's every 2 weeks and then others last months.

It takes 2 AA batteries. I'd have to say the battery life is very good as I don't remember changing them in the one I use. I probably have, but it's so infrequent I don't remember when I changed them last and I use it at work every day.
