Description

The listing, Silver Puzzle Ring Turkish Wedding Band - Some Assembly Required has ended.

PLEASE NOTE: I want to be very clear here. You are NOT getting the ring in the second picture.

You are getting the lovely little pile of twisted silver in the third photo and a set of instructions that I downloaded off the internet, which will (hopefully) allow you turn Picture B into something that bears at least a passing resemblance to Picture A.

I haven't had much luck with the instructions, but then again I haven't worked all that hard at it. This thing really kicks the ol' ADD into high gear.

It's a very tarnished six band Turkish Wedding Band. When it's taken off it falls apart. This was designed to prove fidelity. As I recall it's about a size 5. (Teeny bit hard to measure now.)

Good Luck?

Just out of curiosity, how do you know it's Turkish & how old exactly is the band?

"Turkish Wedding Band" is just a name for the type of ring - puzzle ring. Like a Claddah Ring is called an "Irish Wedding Band".

No, I don't think it actually came from Turkey. (Could have I guess.) This one came from a puzzle catalog about 15 years ago.

Is this Sterling silver or just silver toned?

It's silver, not just silver tone. Very tarnished silver in fact.

Oh most definitely! I've been dying to try this method for a lot of my silver stuff:

First, line a dishpan with aluminum foil, shiny side up. Next, pour into the pan one cup of baking soda, and enough almost-boiling water to fill the pan two-thirds full. Submerge silver for about one minute. Finally, rinse with hot water, and then immediately dry with a soft cloth. Why this method works: the foil, soda and hot water produce a chemical reaction that sucks the silver sulfide, or tarnish, from the silver item, and onto the foil. After cleaning several pieces, you will notice that the foil has become quite dark.
