Vintage Keystone K 25 Capri 8mm Movie Camera

Original hand strap

This is a wind-up camera. NO BATTERIES NEEDED!

Very good vintage condition, especially for its age. The silver-colored "skin" is curling at the edges. Otherwise, there's no damage at all....and it works great!

I recently ran across a roll of film for it. I put it in it to make sure it still works, and I left the film in. Of course the film is no good, but at least you can watch it function properly. The last time I used this was around 40 years ago, and it made some fabulous family movies.

Very compact and sturdily built.

4 1/2" X 5" X 2 1/4" thick.

Thank you! I try to be a bit different from the masses. I've collected things all my life, but now I no longer have the space to keep it. So.....I'm passing it on for someone else to enjoy. Being in the latter stage of this life, I know if I didn't do this, it would all be sold at a yard sale after I croak. That's just the cycle of life, isn't it. :0)

You must have put a LOT of rolls through this to wear off the paint where your forehead touches when looking through the viewfinder! My friends and I did stop-action films as kids forty years ago!

Well, Dave.....it DID have a lot of rolls of film run through it, however...what you see is some black paint overspray. The camera was where it shouldn't have been when I was painting something. Dumb camera! I warned it.

Canada, huh? That's like the Queen asking me over to Buckingham Palace for dinner. It ain't gonna happen! LOL. Seriously, though...if it weighed less than a pound I'd do it. However....it IS cast metal. It would cost me $10-14 to Pony Express it up there. So, sorry, but, no can do. I'm just an old geezer on a fixed income, so I gotta watch the pennies. I love your country, btw...especially BC and Alberta. In fact....I've been contemplating moving up there. I'm afraid our "chosen one" is destroying this great nation. Sorry....didn't mean to rant. Just speaking the truth.

You're right! Although it is totally functional, it's more of a collector's thing than anything else. When you take a really good look at it, inside and out....you realize just how far we've come over the years. This camera was state of the art when it was made, but now.......we look at it as a caveman's toy.

can u include film with this
Jul 25th, 2010 at 2:23:27 PM PDT by

Sorry...no can do! I think you should take it upon yourself to find some film and go through the process like it used to be. I would also suggest you find it on the internet, otherwise you'd be running all over town looking for it. It's no longer commonly available, because there isn't that much call for it. But, it IS on the internet.

i would still use it...thats why i'm really hoping i get it..I know it would probably cost a lot for the film but i would use it as much as i could..i'm not the kind of person to just not use something because its old..this is very cool
