The listing, Vintage DeJur Electra 323 8mm Movie Camera has ended.
Vintage DeJur Electra 323 Zoom Automatic Eye 8mm Movie Camera
with DeJur-Elgeet Vari-Zoom f:1.9 Lens
This is the old WIND-UP type......NO batteries required! Just wind her up and go!
Good vintage condition! It's a bit dirty, and could use a minor cleaning. It's made of cast metal, so it's solidly built. It was last used in the late 70s, but I just wound it up and checked all the functions. Works like a champ!
This camera was built WAAAAAAAY before anyone ever thought of digital, so, yes it requires film. A roll of 8mm film. No memory cards here. This does NOT have sound capabilities. Most of the old 8mm cameras didn't have sound. You can use color or black & white film. This is how it works......you put a roll of film in it....wind it up......look thru the viewfinder and aim it at what you want to film.....push the shutter button....and you're filming. This is simple in its most simple form. That's the way most things USED to be. Now days, most everything is OVER complicated.
BTW....I also have an 8mm camera listed that DOES have sound capabilities. You may want to take a look at it.
Sorry...no can do! I think you should take it upon yourself to find some film and go through the process like it used to be. I would also suggest you find it on the internet, otherwise you'd be running all over town looking for it. It's no longer commonly available, because there isn't that much call for it. But, it IS on the internet.
