The listing, Mamiya MSX 1000 35mm SLR has ended.
The Mamiya MSX series was released in May 1974. It marked a return by Mamiya to the 42mm threaded-mount lens.
Designated as either the MSX 500 or MSX 1000 (for either 1/500 or 1/1000 as fastest shutter speed), both have TTL manual CdS spot metering (about 10% center area only), with a needle visible in the viewfinder. The high sync speed is 1/60. Battery required is one MS76 or equivalent.
To turn on the light meter, ***** the wind lever about 1/4. To turn it off, push the button on the top of the wind lever and it springs back into place.
A manual is available for free online.
A great camera if you're wondering about getting into 35mm film. Sometimes, you learn more doing things the old-fashioned way! I doubt Ansel Adams would have been the photographer he was if he had started out on digital cameras! Some skills and knowledge won't be learned if the camera does everything for you!
Shipping is by USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Medium Box only. It's well worth the small cost.
