Description
The listing, Blackberry seeds has ended.
Level of difficulty to grow: Intermediate
These seeds require a couple months (or a few weeks) being exposed to freezing temperatures to be brought out of dormancy. You can simply put the seeds I send you in to your freezer until spring. These are wild blackberries that produce very thorny vines that like to grow by climbing on it's own, older vines. The berries are sweet and plump when ripe. A good use for these blackberries would be to use them to create a natural fence that's impenetrable to most wildlife (rabbits like to make their homes in a thicket) and most humans won't dare cross a wall of wild blackberries. Once started the vines don't need to be seeded to propagate - where the vine touches the ground it will establish new roots. and the established roots send up shoots that will grow in to new clumps. They grow very very fast!
Thanks. By the way, wild black berries have smaller seeds than their cultivated counterparts. So you get more thorns and less seeds. The thorns aren't so bad if ya ware gloves and long selves.
