Up for auction is a copy of "The Asymptotical World" by Michael Gerardi. It says Vol. 1 1984, but I don't think there were other volumes. I have only found one other copy like it on the internet, and that one was listed for sale at $89.95 on another site (the one that is known for books).

The artwork is quite striking (all black and white). Themes are dark and moody, with poetry, psychodramas and fantasies created by the mind.

Mr. Gerardi states, "The tales were not written to be satanic or sacreligious statements. The stories were penned simply to be dark phantasies which would provide bizarre playgrounds for inquisitive minds." 54 pages in an approximately 8½" x 11" softcover format.

I have scanned a couple pieces of the artwork (plus the front and back), so you can get a taste of the insides. The book is in good condition with a bit of storage wear. There is a 1" spot at the bottom of the cover fold that has separated, and there is some minor discoloration on the back of the cover, but all in all, this item is in pretty good shape.

I had to look asymptotical up in the dictionary! I'll let you do that on your own. I think it's worth the credits for the unique artwork alone if you like the darker style! Originally published at $6.95.
