The listing, Tiered Auction: Nintendo DS Lite + Accessories & R4DS card - 1 Adult Owner! has ended.

This auction is for a fully functional white Nintendo DS Lite + Stylus + Charger. One adult owner (me), I just don't use it as much as I used to since I got my iPhone (& I'm trying to win a netbook!).

If this auction reaches certain credits, I'll throw in:
5,000: Kroo case in gray
6,000: extra white stylus
7,000: Pelican screen protector
8,000: MicroSD card reader - you can pick between the SD card adapter shown or a usb based microSD reader (not pictured)
9,000: 2gb microSD chip
10,000: R4DS card
>10,000: I will add some games to the micro SD card

R4DS allows you to keep all your games on one cartridge. It also allows you to use roms, homebrew games, and multimedia files.

Questions & Comments

The cards legal, it depends on what you do with it that could possibly be illegal (downloading roms to put on it, etc)

Also just to let you know, just because you own the game doesn't mean you can go online an download the rom legally, the only way for you to legally have the rom is to take your original cartridge/whatever and dump it to your PC yourself, and then the law is weird here (because it allows the owner to specifically backup their own carts) if you ever sell or even lose the card (I guess the backup is more intended so if it gets damaged and some how cannot be played anymore) you must destroy any copies you have, just to clear up any mis-conceptions.

Yeah, but in other types of digital media, there's legal precedent to argue that owning the media allows for downloads. Anyway, the R4 card itself isn't contraband, so I am just going to list it & let the end user decide which uses, legal or illegal, fit them best. I am not deliberately promoting one use or another, just being clear about its capabilities.

That is one of the options for a microSD reader - it adapts the micro to a full size SD card slot. The other option is a USB drive that reads the microSD.

I was forever losing my game cartridges until I backed up my games & only had to carry around one cartridge, securely in my DS.

Appreciate the heads up. I'm actually trying to decide wether to list the dslite I already won, being my son does not play it, or get another, so I can play with him. Whats the diff in a MD3S card( The card that was being given away in the black ds lite auction)
and the one you're talking about (the R4DS). I'm pretty sure thats why hers got so many credits, she was giving so many games away on that card right off the bat. And the one b4 that that went for 11,ooo came with a brand new 1in 17 accessory kit. I'm sure you will do well with this. They have all been doing well. I will watch, and figure out what I'm gonna do!

I will probably include the games on there no matter how high it gets (assuming it hits high enough to include the microSD chip). Also, it's pretty easy to find games just by searching "DS roms" and the like - availability of games, homebrew, etc is not an issue & the interface is really just as easy as dragging & dropping the rom you downloaded onto the microSD card.

There is no real difference between M3DS, R4DS, & the YushenDS cards, they are the same hardware, just branded differently for different markets, especially since the R4DS was banned in Japan due to how easy it makes getting roms for commercial games.
