Annual - Papaver Rhoeas
Huge crimson red flowers that feature black centers that are the crown of the flower. Also known as Flanders Field Poppy. This annual loves full sun or partial shade and is very drought resistant. They grow to an approximate height of 2ft. Perfect for borders, backdrops, fields, and to impressively line a garden walking path. They offer huge blooms that measure up to 4" across. One of the nicest aspects of this flowering annual is that the green, fern-like foliage remains in the backdrop to allow the flowers to steal the show. The stems are thin, hairy and green. In the morning and evening, the flower faces the ground and faces the sun in the afternoon.
An exceptional choice for an early spring garden. These seeds are packaged and germination tested for current year planting. (Spring 2013)
