The listing, Undressed Reproduction Antique Doll Head, SP & Body DAG Larkin has ended.
This doll is a hand made reproduction of an antique doll, marked DAG "Larkin" 1981. I believe it was the souvenir doll for the Doll Artisan convention in 1981.
Head and shoulder plate are cast in bisque porcelain...from a Seeleys mold, and head is hand painted. Undressed doll is about 15" tall and head/shoulder plate are attached to a rescued stuffed body. Arms, with cupped hands, and legs are porcelain as well. Has white faux leather shoes.
This doll has been purposefully left without a wig or clothes so the new owner may finish and dress the doll to her/his individual taste. Could also be disassembled for parts.
This unfinished doll is constructed from materials that are the appropriate size and shape…these reproduction dolls ARE NOT EXACT accurate reproductions of the original German English or French antique dolls. This is a good doll if you are looking for one that has that antique appearance but without the costly price tag!
