Description

The listing, 1897-1972 PTA 8 cent stamp has ended.

This is 3 unused 8 cent vintage commemorate stamps the Parent Teacher Association, a.k.a the PTA. They were issued on September 15, 1972 at San Francisco, California and were designed by Arthur S. Congdon III.

These stamps were issued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) which was founded in 1897. Their mission was - and still is - "for the education and well being of every child."

The stamp is a yellow background with a blackboard. White "chalk" writing on the blackboard reads "P.T.A. Parent Teacher Association 1897-1972 8c U.S"

Each stamp measures 1 1/2" wide x 1" tall (3.8 cm x 2.5 cm).
