Description

The listing, Old Asian Dragon Salt & Pepper Shakers has ended.

Old Asian Dragon Salt & Pepper shakers. Photo accurately depicts the condition, although you might think that the "whiteish" look on the top is perhaps flash washout from the camera flash. Some of it is, but one of the shakers top does seem to have a look like the color has washed or rubbed off the porcelain.

Age, maker and country of origin is unknown as pieces are unmarked. I do know that they are hand-painted as the dragons are not exactly alike on each of the shakers. Also the corks must have dried up because they are inside the shakers. They measure 2" tall, a little over 1" in diameter.

Shipping these items for free on Listia.com is a great extra for the person winning the bid. But for me, it feels like I am paying to give my stuff away. So I will NOT be offering free shipping on most of my items any longer. Free is cool if there is money received for items, but credits is what is received and the post office does not take credits. The fee listed with each auction may not completely pay for the shipping every time, BUT it will at least offset most of it.

I referred to them as porcelain in the description, but I guess to be more precise, I am not sure if that is the exact term for it or not. Although I think that most people would use the term porcelain or porcelain ceramic. .According to Wikipedia, I think I am using the term porcelain correctly.I see it and think of it as the same material I have always seen this kind of stuff made of. Maybe some of the other Listia users can offer some opinnions/feedback. I don't want to mislead anyone on this. Thanks in advance Listia users....or is that Listians? lol
