WILD MORNING GLORY
Botanical name : Convolvulus arvensis

-aka- Field Bindweed

This auction is for 15+ seeds harvested in 2012. WILD MORNING GLORY is good for planting in areas where almost nothing else will grow. It can also be very attractive in a container when given a trellis to climb . . . But you probably do not want to let its seeds drop all over your garden--it very freely self-sows if you don't snatch off the seed pods that follow the blooms. That being said, this is a really very pretty flower--bees, butterflies and hummers love it, too.

How big are the flowers? Are they fragrant? The bind weed we have around here has small white flowers--not these lovely pale purple ones . . .

i can't smell them but they sure draw butterfly and bee pollinators ... probably would lure hummers, too, but they are few and far between around my neighbourhood . . . saw one of those for about 12 seconds, once in 12 years.
