When would you plant these since we are going into fall?

we plant at the begining of spring, March April,and we get beans until the first frost. Im not sure what zone you are in, but we plant ours as soon as the ground starts to warm up, and we like to plant two seasons of these, so we plant again around july, and have peas until the first freeze

in Dallas, not far from you. So I'd be planting in my flower beds instead of flowers. This would work, I'd just have to water them like flowers, right?

yes you could do that, But they like alot of sun for best results
