This is another one of my ribbon pouch necklaces, but on a bigger scale. The purse is just under 5" long (8" long with the fringe) and 4" wide. It's made from a wide beaded and sequined strip of heavy ribbon, lined with gray satin and beaded all around the edges with seed beads. I used glass beads to make the fringes and tassel on the flap. The strap is made of gray satin cord, 36" in length. The purse is roomy enough to put your ID and cellphone plus some cash or a credit card. You can wear it as a necklace but my idea was to make the strap long enough to go over your shoulder and across the chest, like a party bag. The sequins and faceted beads flash in the light, catching your eye. My photos just don't do the colors justice. The ribbon is 2 different shades of pink with silver highlights. The beads are pink and silver. A one-of-a-kind purse to wear to any party!
My home is smoke-free, but I do have cats. I have tried to keep any cat hairs from any of my jewelry, but I am sure that when I am asleep, late at night, my cat sneaks into my stuff and plants hairs in it. ;~)
