Watching (and fanned). The carnation is my birth flower; without knowing this, my husband bought me carnations the first time he bought me flowers; I found out a few years after I was married that this was what my dad bought my mom when they were courting. They are very special to me. Definitely will try to be here to bid on these. Thanks for listing them. Carnations also are considered appropriate for all occasions, as are--and especially with--daisies. These are gorgeous and all those beautiful colors! These will be fun to grow!

Your birthday must be in January. You are right, Carnation is the birth flower for the month of January. Carnations have traditionally been associated with fascination, which is a fitting sentiment for the freshness of the new year and a new love. Thank you for sharing your story. They are fun to grow but they are slow. Be patient with them.
