The listing, Great Cameo Brooch has ended.

What I have for you today is a brooch pin that my grandma gave me in a pile of stuff to get rid of. I am unsure if this is costume or antique so if anyone has info for me that would be great. I am fairly certain it is real as my grandmother didn't like costume items. I tried to look for any marking but couldn't find anything. Any questions you may have for me just give me a holler in the comments section. As always, free shipping in the US.

I'm sorry to say it's not a true cameo... though beautiful an actual genuine cameo would be beveled to the frame and not glue from the back, also the closing hasp is wrong it would have been an open hasp and not a enclosing one. But the piece is still very pretty and would make an amazing gift. Good luck and I hope you get a great buyer. Fanned.

An open hasp is a pin that is tucked into a U shaped piece. A closed hasp is used in more modern styles.
