The listing, ANNIK GOUTAL-Leaded Glass Parfum Refillable Spray Bottle has ended.
Highly collectible Parisian Parfum (perfume) Bottle from Annik Goutal. I have an empty REFILLABLE ribbed leaded glass bottle with gold plated cap and sprayer I am offering on this auction. It has the original gold cording and label "Folavril". This perfume fragrance is not commonly available in the US, but is sold in the Annik Goutal Parfum shop in Paris, France. What makes this such a great collectible item is that it is refillable...remove the lid, untwist the spray nozzle and fill the beautiful bottle with the fragrance of your choice while owning a collectible perfume bottle.
Annick Goutal was a concert pianist and fashion model. At the request of friends, she worked with perfumers at Robertet to develop a fragrance for a face cream, and she found her calling. By 1980, she was ready to launch her own fragrance line. This bottle was purchased in 1991 by my sister as a gift for me while she was in Paris.
The name Folavril has its origins in the antique shop that Annick Goutal opened and used to work before becoming a perfumer. This is the first fragrance she originally created in 1980 to perfume the skin care she developed when she started. She wanted to capture in this fragrance the savory attraction of the tomato leaf.
The Olfactory family used were Floral, fruity, exotic (Tomato leaf, mango, jasmine, Boronia flower).
Annick Goutal passed away in 1999, at the age of 53. Since that time, her daughter Camille has continued to develop new fragrances working in collaboration with perfumer Isabelle Doyen.
Tall ribbed splash refill bottles are also sold for a few of the Annick Goutal scents like Folvaril, although these are hard to find in the United States.
