Features a portrait of Jose Morelos. Formerly a Roman Catholic Priest, he was a revolutionary rebel leader who led the Mexican War of Independence movement, assuming its leadership after the execution of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla in 1811.
Also features the iconic old design Mexican Coat of Arms, depicting a Mexican golden eagle standing on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake. At the base of the cactus there is a holm oak (encino) branch on one side and a laurel branch on the other
