Although, mine doesn't say occupied on it. It just says Handcrafted in Japan.

hmmmm . I wonder if this pattern was produced long enough to be from both time periods. Japan was occupied from 1945-1952 , so if this was produced from lets say 1949-1954 there would be some marked Occupied Japan and some marked Japan.
