I'm guessing these will store as packaged for the winter in a 60 degree basement, right? since it's almost time for a frost here in PA

Yes,they are ready to be packed away if that's what you want to do with them.

But need to mention that if you do pack this box away for winter storage, you will want to open the box so they can breath and you will need to check every once in awhile to make sure they haven't completely dried out.

Flat-rate priority mail already comes with confirmation...so there's no need to charge anyone extra for it.

Really?....Let me ask you a question. When did you last send out a flat rate box to include confirmation?

SPECIAL NOTE: So many times (and I'm not the only one on Lista that has to deal with certain people) If you question about confirmation number to a flat rate box being sent out, ask your local post office instead of relying on wrong info that people like to toss in to mess things up. If you are going to post information against someone....AT LEAST GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!

can they be planted in the fall

It depends what part of the country you live. I live in zone 5a and all my tropical plants have to come in for winter. If you have frost, then you will need to bring them in. If you only have frost a couple of times during winter, unless it is a heavy frost, you could keep them outside and cover them before frost comes.

A confirmation number is automatically included in the price of flat rate mailing

No it isn't. Now lets put this to rest. First off if you are going complain over one dollar difference, then don't bid. Like I have said, ASK your local post office. I've done this for years in selling my plants and when you do flat rate shipping, confirmation number is NOT included.

SORRRRREEEEEEEEE! Maybe it is only included if you do it online.

If you print your label from home then delivery confirmation with tracking is free, otherwise it starts at $.75 if you ship it from the post office.
